If you are interested in exploring something less touristic, this village will be the right place for you. Our hostel in the beautiful small village of Tamlalte offers heartwarming hosting to make you feel like home. From there you are able to explore the mountains in a more traditional way. Find out more about our hiking tours here. The mountains, also called Monkey Fingers, are unique. It is the perfect place to excape reality and enjoy pure nature. Especially after some days in the crowded Marrakesh.
Explore this city with one of the guys working in the hostel – all of them grew up in this small village. They know every little stone and can explain to your more about this unique culture of the berbers. You also find a lot of small stores which still sell the old handmade berber jewellery.


The Hiking Nomads Hostel

Redesigned in an old house of a family which lived his whole life in this village, you cannot get more into this unique culture. Traditional decoration mixed with the comfort every hostel should have, we hope you will have an amazing time with us.

There are different sized rooms from 10 bed dorms with shared bathroom to private rooms with private bathroom. You can check the availability per mail, phone or search for “Hiking Nomads Hostel” on Hostelworld or Booking.

From Marrakech to the Hiking Nomads Hostel:

  1. Drive East to N9
  2. Continue to N9 (10 km)
  3. Follow N9 and N10 over Ouarzazate to 
  4. Gorges du Dadès/R704 in Boumalne Dadès (298 km)
  5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Gorges du Dadès/R704 (15 km)
  6. Destination will be on the left at KM 14

From Merzouga to the Hiking Nomads Hostel:

  1. Head North to N13
  2. Follow N13 and N12 to R113 in Alnif (133 km)
  3. Continue straight onto R113 (45 km)
  4. Follow N10 to Gorges du Dadès/R704 in Boumante Dadès (75 km)
  5. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Gorges du Dadès/R704 (15 km)
  6. Destination will be on the left at KM 14
